Sagar: The coach of the coach slipped from the runway while taking off at Dhana Airstrip in Sagar Madhya Pradesh on Saturday afternoon but the pilot of the training participants who flew Solo did not suffer injuries, police said.
The aircraft, Cessna 172, belonging to Chimes Aviation, a private flight agency that had been banned from using a flying foundation, after one of his planes fell last year and two people were killed.
But the ban was appointed later.
The incident occurred around 3 pm on Saturday.
Rahul Sharma, Chimes Aviation’s Local Administrator, said that the 22-year-old pilot Trainee was safe.
The plane slipped from the runway and reached a patch of land full of bushes, eyewitness said.
Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia said the probe team was sent to the place.
“Just got the news about the Cessna plane crash (solo flight) which belonged to Chimes Aviation Academy at Sagar, MP.
Fortunately, the trainees were safe.
We rushed the investigation team to the site,” he tweeted.
The incident came on the heel of a coach crash in the Jalgaon Maharashtra district on Friday where the flight instructor was killed.
In March last year the Madhya Pradesh government had banned the withdrawal of bells from using Dhana Airstrip after one of his coaches fell on January 3, 2020, killing two people on board.
The ban was imposed after the Sagar Regency Government allegedly found a private academy praying for the norms.
But the ban was then appointed, said local sources.
