Madhya Pradesh to get 2 other tiger reserves

Bhopal: Here are some good news for them ‘wild’ in the heart.
The center has given the principle approval to develop Madhav National Park in Shivpuri Regency as a tiger reserve.
And Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has asked officers to consider the notification of Ratapani as a tiger reserve, if the locals are willing.
When the two sites will be notified, Madhya Pradesh will be the country with a maximum number of tiger reserves.
There are six tiger reserves and 10 national parks for today.
Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia has met Minister of Environment Bhupender Yadav a few months ago and submitted a proposal for reintroduction of tigers at Madhav National Park.
“Madhav National Park has maintained a tiger population for more than 200 years.
This area is used to be reserve Park from the former Gwalior of the royal family and bragging from a strong tiger population,” Scindia has been written in a proposal.
A tiger reserve will be developed in 1600 square kilometers in the next 5 years Yadav wrote to Scindia on Monday to inform him about nods.
“The officers have expressed their willingness to develop Madhav National Park as a tiger reserve, in addition to starting a tiger safari.
While the government’s proposal for the Tiger Safari in Madhav in consideration with Central Zoo Authority, a proposal for tiger reserves is still expected from the country,” Yadav wrote The letter.
“In the next five years, tiger reserves will be developed in 1600 square kilometers from Madhav National Park.
Initially, the Tiger Safari must arrange at 100 hectares within one year.
The estimated infrastructure cost for safari is around Rs 20 Crore,” said an officer Forest.
After this Scindia’s first meeting, Yadav had directed officials to take quick action to resettlement of tigers in Madhav.
According to the Ministry of Forestry Census, there are four tigers in 1980 and only each in 1981 and 1987.
The next time the tiger was seen in Madhav was on February 26, 1996.
In the early 1990s, tigers were introduced at home in limited garden and safari with 10-15 tigers are created.
The population increased for years.
“Because of negligence, however, this Safari was closed and the tiger had to be moved.
In 1999, the MP government decided to find a way to increase the Habitat Madhav National Park and make it suitable for wild tigers,” Scindia to the Minister Moef in his proposal.
“The possibility of spreading tigers from neighboring countries of the protected area settled in Madhav National Park seems to be the best solution.
A survey was conducted by the Wildlife Protection Society of India in 1999, and in 2005, the MP government was a high level committee to review proposals for reintroduction Tiger at Madhav National Park, “he added.
This committee provides recommendations in November 2006.
Scindia showed in his letter that the Taman Director was prepared a proposal in this regard and sent it to the head of the main forest (wild) conservator on August 9 last year.
“This action plan involves RS 106 Crore’s capital expenditure.
You are asked for a friendly sanction to reintegrate tigers in Madhav National Park from every National Park and funds to develop the necessary infrastructure,” he wrote.
The combined team of central and state clerks works on a strategy for this.
Both ministers also have a discussion of the acceleration of the relocation cheetah project.
Scindia told reporters in Gwalior that he was constantly related to this service.
A dozen cheetah should be brought to the ancient MP National Park with November 2021 but the political situation in South Africa, Omicron waves, and floods in the Chambal region of MP slowed the project.
Forest officers are also cheerful about the nod of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan for notifications of 890 Kilometers of Square Ratapani as a tiger reserve.
“If CM has given its approval, it will not take a lot of time to execute the old pending notification.
He only wants approval from the local residents to take a step further,” said an IFS officer.
Delay Notification of Ratapani – which has 12 to 15 dominant tigers – as a tiger reserve is said to be one of the main reasons behind the spread of large cats.
Ratapani has not been told as a tiger reserve despite the principle approval of the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) in 2008.
