Chennai: Madras High Court will get four new judges, take the power of sitting for 60 against the approved strength of 75.
With induction of S Srimathi, the number of female judges in court will rise to a record 14, the highest in this country.
D Bharatha Chakravarthy, R Vijayakumar and Mohammed Shaffiq are three other advocates recommended for the height by the Collegium Supreme Court.
S Srimathi, R Vijayakumar, D Bharatha Chakravarthyborn on December 22, 1970, Vijayakumar was registered as an advocate on October 13, 1993.
In 28 years of practice law, Vijayakumar specializes in civil, criminal, constitutional and service laws.
He is the second generation judge.
His father justice a Ramamurthy has been elevated to the High Court of the subordinate court in the state.
Even though he initially practiced before the principal’s bench in Chennai, since August 2004, he diverted his practice to Madurai’s bench in court.
Bharatha Chakravarthy, register as an advocate on July 15, 1993.
He specializes in the original side, appeal and criminals from the High Court.
In 27 years of training, he also served as a public prosecutor for the Puducherry Union region for the High Court.
It was separated, he represented the business of public sector such as the Puducherry slum license board, the Institute of Animal Science Rajiv Gandhi, Puducherry, and Andhra Pradesh Power Development Company Limited.
He is also an accredited and emproidered mediator with the Mediation & Conciliation Project Committee, the Indian Supreme Court.
Mohammed Shaffiq is a tax law specialist who has served as a government applicant for taxes.
Srimathi is also a product of Trichy Government College, and is registered as an advocate in October 1989.
