Chennai: Madras High Court on Tuesday was dismissed because it was unable to be maintained by litigation of public interests that challenged the inter-party selection carried out to choose the coordinator and coordinator with AIDMK.
The first bench from the chairman of Judge Munishwar Nath Bhandari and Justice P D Audikesavalu argued that the Indian Election Commission (ECI) did not have a role in the inter-parties and therefore there were no commands that could be forwarded to the Commission.
The problem is related to the defense transferred by J Jazayandran, a party member, accusing the election carried out in arbitrary ways and no one else except Edappadi K Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam were allowed to submit a nomination for the contest in the election.
As a temporary assistance, the Petitioner wants a court to hold the party to announce the results of the election waiting for the disposal of the application.
The applicant further wants a court to direct the Indian election commission to not approve sanctions to coordinator posts and newly created joint coordinators.
