Madurai Bldg: ‘Ready to reconsider the decision’

Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government is ready to reconsider his decision to build a Library of Kalaignar Struggling in a limited location in Madurai if the evidence is produced to prove the claim that the building on the site is British architect John Pennycuick Memorial House, Minister of Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Stalin on Wednesday told the Assembly .
“We are ready to take the right steps and change the plan anytime if you send evidence to prove what you say.
But there is no evidence like that,” CM said, replying to the former Minister of AIDMK Selur K Raju.
Raju accused the state government would destroy the Pennycuick warning house, which built a multaperiary dam.
Minister PWD E V Velu, has issued a statement on this issue to clarify.
The TN government has announced plans to build a library with a cost of Rs 70 Crore in PWD land on Jalan Madurai-Natham in Madurai.
After CM, Raju said that there was a conversation outside that the Pennycuick Memorial House would be destroyed and he wanted to take it with a house notice.
