Madurai: Madurai City Police has registered a case on at least three people and others in connection with the death of a worker after a portion of Madurai to Flyover Natham at Bank Colonsed on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Akash Singh (24) from Uttar Pradesh.
Three accused named is a project responsible for JMC Projects, Pradeepkumar Jain, Project Engineer, Sathiyendar Varma and Counselor of Hydraulic Machinery Contractors, Shellmech, Baskaran.
This case was registered at Tallakulam Police Station (L & O) based on complaints by the leader of the Anilkumar team, NHAI.
This case is registered under Section 287 and 304 (a) of the Indian punishment code that deals by causing death from negligence.
Meanwhile, work is underway to get rid of debris.
