Madurai: alleged that the Corporation Commissioner Madurai KP Kartthikeyan had respect for the National Commission of Safai Karamcharis, Chair of M Venkatess on Monday said that he would file a complaint against the commissioner with the Minister of Tamil Nadu and with the president of the Secretary of State, if needed.
Venkatess said a worker while Madurai Corporation lost his arm in an electric shock at his workplace a few weeks ago.
The Commission wrote to the corporation a month ago to compensate for corporate workers and to take care of their care.
There was no compensation given when he was last checked on Sunday night, Venkatsan said.
When he arrived at Madurai, Venkatess was told that maintenance workers were performing staging at Madurai Corporation’s main building.
He went there to hear their complaints.
The chairman began listening to worker complaints even when he was looking for a commissioner to make himself available at the beginning.
The commissioner who won there was standing in the distance and insisted that a meeting could be held in a room.
“Finally, the Commissioner reached the demonstrators after many doubts.
When I talked to him, he answered the way he knew more about them than me.
Furthermore, he left suddenly even when I talked to him,” said the chairman.
“I was disappointed with his behavior.
I saw this as a sense of disrespect to the commission.
He not only made me disrespect but also the whole community of conservation workers I represented,” he said.
The drama applies on the protest site when the chairman also joins protests that condemn the behavior of commissioners.
Immediately, the Commissioner went to him and insisted that the discussion could be done in the conference room.
Then, the chairman went to the place along with representatives of the demonstrators to take part in the meeting.
When contacted, K.
P Karthikeyan said he was hesitant to discuss this issue on the protest site and only insisted on the meeting to be carried out in the conference hall, where all the settings were in place because there might be a security problem with visitors.
“I don’t mean not respecting the chairman.
There are no questions about not respecting the commission.
I have to be careful because I will be responsible if something is wrong in the crowd,” he said.
They have a useful meeting later.
The Commissioner said he had assured that he would do anything else at his level with the demands raised by maintenance workers.
