Madurai: Historical-Sheeter’s body, which was lost from Friday, was found in a well on Sunday at Karatupatti in the Madurai district.
The deceased has been identified as s kottaichamy, 21, from Karatupatti was reportedly killed for alleged previous hostility.
The police said that Kottaichamy, who was involved in at least four previous criminal cases was lost a day after Diwali, on Friday.
On Sunday, Sholavandan police were told about unknown male bodies in a place owned by private owners in Karattupatti.
The police immediately rushed to the place and restored the body from wells with the help of fire service personnel and rescue.
Police sources said that several cutting injuries were found in his body.
The body was thrown away in a well by binding rock into it.
The body has been sent to the Rajaji Government Hospital for Postmortem.
Police Sholavandan has registered a case and is investigating further to ensure the possibility of the cause of the murder and responsible.
The police saw whether the murder could be caused by clashes or disputes with other noisy elements or for some previous hostilities.
