Madurai / Trichy: The case of fresh Covid-19 recorded in Madurai district fell to 50 on Thursday, the least in the last 37 days.
The district has 289 recovery, because the number of active cases fell to 1,174.
As many as three Covid-19 deaths were recorded in the district on Thursday.
They are between 78 and 82 years, have comorbidities and have died on Monday and Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Trichy recorded a decline in the case of Covid-19 fresh Covid-19 on Thursday with 105 new cases compared to Wednesday 119.
The number of active cases established in 1,986 and the district gave birth to 359 patients on Thursday.
The district death rose to 1,153 with one more victim.
The number of Active Covid-19 cases in 10 South District Tamil Nadu fell to 8,995 on Thursday from 10,783 on Wednesday.
Except for Kanyakumari (2,143), Tirunelveli (1,296) and Madurai (1,174), seven other districts in the region have less than 1,000 active cases.
All districts in the southern region recorded less than 100 new cases for the second day in a row, because the number of new cases recorded in the region fell to 336 on Thursday.
Tenkasi (7) at least recorded, followed by Ramanathapuram (16), Dindigul (20), Theni (21), Tuticorin (22), Sivagagai (31), Virudhunagar (37), Tiruneli (50) and Kankumumari (90).
