Madurai: A gang armed four members entered a house near Melur in Madurai District in Tamil Nadu in the early hours of Thursday and robbed the sovereignty of gold jewelry and RS 1 lakh cash by threatening homeowners and their families.
Masked robbers entered Gopi’s house, 30, from Sathyapuram Village.
They threatened Gopi, mother, wife and children with a knife before taking valuables, including the gold worn by them.
They locked family members in the house and fled.
Hearing the cry of family members, neighbors reached there and saved them.
They told the Melur police.
The police registered the case and was investigating.
