Madurai: Madurai Flower Market, which has functions from a place while over the past two months, will shift back to its own place from October 1, after traders made representation to the Madurai District Government, to shift the market.

About 20,000 farmers bring their products to the market every day but they have all been affected because prices fall due to market shifts, and tons of flowers become waste.

T Shanmugam, a farmer said that they had a good jasmine harvest this year, but the market was shifted during the peak season.
