Magic escape for five families swept away on the canal

Letter: The five families of Silvassa including four women have magic runaway when their car was swept away in canal water and remained trapped under the bridge for almost two hours on Tuesday at Kadodara from the district of the letter.
Fifth was hung on the hope of saving breathing around one foot space between the bridge on the national highway 48, while water flowed with high pressure.
Water was released on the canal on Monday and it fell with high pressure.
The car was swept away in a fast flow but fortunately stuck under the bridge.
About 150 meters the canal portion is under the bridge and the car goes almost 10 meters to a narrow room from one end of the canal.
In a dramatic rescue operation, the families stranded were saved by the Fire and Emergency Letter Team (SFES) along with police assistance.
Those who were saved include Azim Khan (50), Sumaiya (42), Swetha (21), Aaliya (21) and Fahima (18), all Silvassa residents in the Diu-Daman-Dadra Union and Nagar Haveli who said they returned home from Ankleshwar.
Khan said he was driving a car on the street service near the Kadodara Tua Chowki police when the accident took place.
“The car falls into canal waters as possible after the driver loses control,” said the firefight, Patel Jagdish told Ti.
“They can’t get out of the car because the door is not open.

After leaving the car, five attached to the chassis shouted to help in the midst of the sound of water that hit.

However, the message was not answered and the trapped people then made whatsapp calls because normal calls were not through, the officers got information.
Fortunately, relatively answered the call and immediately asked someone he knew he was in the city of the letter to arrange assistance.
The relatives also reached Kadodara and Informed Cops in the nearest Chowki who reached the place and contacted SFES.
“Initially the police and several locals tried to get into the water but because of the flow of water were heavy and we did not have special equipment with us, we could not do much,” said a GRD Jawan.
“The family relatives of Silvassa also reached a point in the middle of rescue operations and based on the calculation we can estimate that the family must remain trapped under the bridge in the middle of the water struggling for almost two hours,” added the SFES officers.
