National Sugar Institute, Kanpur in cooperation with ICAR-IIMR, Hyderabad has been conducting research to evaluate the capacity of this harvest for the past couple of years in the institute plantation along with five sweet sorghum types (CSH 22S, SSV 84, SSV 74, Phlue Vasundhara and ICSSH 28) believed appropriate for sub-tropical area are being cultivated and analyzed.
