England defender Harry Maguire said his father was abandoned by rib injury and struggled to breathe after being trampled by fans during a crowd disorder at Wembley Stadium before the Euro 2020 final against Italy.
Supporters collided with each other and officials, violated Cordon security and were charged to the Wembley Perimeter area before the commencement of Sunday’s match, which Italy won in the penalty.
British police said 19 of his officer was injured while 86 people, including 53 in the venue, was arrested.
The UEFA European soccer management body opened the disciplinary process and accused the English football association for interference.
“I thought he was involved in the raid and suffered several injuries to his ribs.
I talked to him, he said he was afraid,” said Maguire The Sun.
“I don’t want anyone who experiences that will watch football, especially the main final.” The FA said on Monday it would conduct a full review into security violations and condemning fan behavior that forced their way to the stadium.
