Mumbai: Ten Delta-Plus cases detected from samples sent for genome sequencing from the country in July.
It took a count of the Covid-19 case which was linked to this newly emerging variant to 76 in Maharashtra.
Of the 76 patients, 10 was fully vaccinated, while 12 received a dose.
Six of 10 came from Kolhapur, three of Ratnagiri and one from the Sindhudurg district.
The State Public Health Department said all 10 recovered from Covid-19.
From 76, only 10 were fully vaccinated, while 12 received a dose, indicating that most had not taken vaccines.
Two of those who were vaccinated were given covaxin and the rest took the covishield; 37 is male and 39 women.
The state said 37 patients did not show symptoms or had mild symptoms, and did not need to be hospitalized.
Five deaths have been associated with this variant so far, including two of Ratnagiri and each of Mumbai, Raigad and Beed.
The most affected (39) aged 19-45, followed by 19 ages 46-60; There are nine children under 18 and nine senior citizens.
Most of the Delta Plus cases are in Ratnagiri (15), followed by Jalgaon (13) and Mumbai (11).
Kolhapur has seven cases, while Thane and Pune have six each.
Palghar and Raigad have three each, Nanded, Gondia, and two Sindhudurg and Chandrapur, Akola, Sangli, Nandurbar, each Aurangabad and Beed One.
