Akola: Four men were killed after their car collided with a truck in a village in Akola District in Maharashtra in Wee Friday, police said.
The victims, who were Malegaon Tehsil residents in the neighboring Washim district, returned home after visiting the famous Maharaj Temple in Shegaon in the Buldhana district, they said.
The deceased was in the age group 28 to 34 years, police said.
“When their car reached Ridhora Village in the Akola district around 1am, it collided into a truck that went in the opposite direction to Khamgaon in Buldhana.
The impact of the collision was so strong that three victims died in place,” said a police officer.
After being told about the incident, the police team rushed to place.
One injured person was taken to a government hospital in Akola, where he was declared dead, he added.
