Kolhapur: After a tip-off of sambar deer meat cooked by several men, the Ministry of Forestry Officer from the Helwak Village in Patan Tehsil from the Satara District, raided the ‘NaAV’ village located in the buffer area of Sahyadri Tiger Reserve.
Five people from the village have been arrested for hunting sambar deer and then cooking the meat.
Sandip Jopale, a ranger forest, said, “According to tip-off, we carried out an attack and arrested 5 was accused of Naav’s village to hunt deer sambar and then cook the meat.
Defendant Sitaram Shende, Vishal Pawar, Ashok Vicare, Mahendra Jagtap and Anand Vichare, All residents of Naav villagers have been sent to the forest detention 3 days when produced in front of Patane Court.
