Aurangabad: A total of 595 prisoners, which are among the tens of hundreds are given parole and leave from different prisons in Maharashtra in the past three decades, failing to return to prison.
Most absconders convicted the terms of life in serious violations such as murder, dacoity and rape.
The absence of a photo of a prisoner who has jumped parole and the leave proved to be a big challenge for the police.

The Director General of Police Additional (Law and orders) Rajender Singh told Tii, “Police explore all available legal resources and options to arrest these detainees.
Despite the absence of large number of abskonders are challenges, the police have started starting actions through Each tehsildars or the right authority against those who are on guard for these detainees.
“A total of 333 inmates had jumped parole while 262 had jumped leave from 14 centers, districts and Maharashtra open prisons.
Authorities say the entertainment list does not include prisoners that have been given emergency conditional liberation because of a pandemic.
Emergency conditional release released during the pandemic period has been automatically extended.
Nagpur Central Prison has recorded 120 inmates, an Amravati 126 center prison, Morshi Open Prison Only One, Jerwada Central Prison, Kolhapur 44 Center Prison, Jerawada Open Dua Prison, Aurangabad 61 Prison, Pusatan Pusatan 173 Prison, Dhule Two District Prison, Central Prison Mumbai Three, Thane central prison, two special prisons Ratnagiri two and gadchiroli center prisons.
