Mumbai: Maharashtra reported 6,600 new Coronavirus cases and 231 deaths on Friday while 7,431 patients were dismissed from the hospital, said a health official.
Kaseload in the state rose to 62.96,756 and the death toll reached 1,32,566.
Calculate the patient restored rose to 60,83,319.
The number of active cases decreased to 77,494 from 78,562 the day before.
There were 4,79,553 people at the quarantine house and 3,289 in institutional quarantine.
The level of recovery of Maharashtra cases is now at 96.61 percent while the mortality rate is 2.01 percent.
The number of Coronavirus tests carried out so far rose to 4,75,59,938 with 2,00,924 samples tested since Thursday night.
Significantly, Bhandara and Nandurbar districts along with Jalgaon and Bhiwandi Municipal Corporations did not report new Koronavirus infections.
Of the eight Maharashtra regions, the Pune region reported the covid-19 case of the highest 2,327, followed by 1,852 cases in the Kolhapur region.
A total of 1,007 new cases were reported in the Mumbai region, 952 in the Nashik area, 276 in the Latur, Akola, 48 in Aurangabad and 34 in the Nagpur region.
Of the 231 deaths recorded during the day, 71 the highest death was reported in the Kolhapur region, followed by 67 and 37 deaths in the area of Pune and Mumbai.
The Aurangabad region reported 30 deaths, Nashik Region 18, the latter and akola respectively and the Nagpur region reported two deaths.
Capital State Mumbai witnessed 322 new Covid-19 cases and seven deaths, while Pune City reported 247 new cases and three deaths.
District Pune has 16,001 cases active.
