Mumbai: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday invaded Premise Pune from Deputy RTO Bajrang Kharmate, which was attached to the State Transport Ministry led by Anil Paratab Shiv Sena as part of his probe into money laundering in the former Minister of State House Anil Deshmukh .
There was no clarity about the relationship between Kharmate and Puriab with Dishmukh money laundering case.
Ed had called the party for his statement in the case on Tuesday, but he was seeking exemption which quoted previous involvement.
Kharmate was twice suspended because of his involvement in corrupt practices and one case related to his involvement in illegal registration from imported bikes in the pen.
In April, the former MP BJP Kirit Somaiya wrote a complaint to the Governor of the State who demanded an investigation of the letter he received accusing corruption in the post and transfer of RTO officials.
The letter also talked about Kharate’s post and about Puriab because he supported the officer.
Puriab’s name is not mentioned in the CBI version registered in Deshmukh and others.
The former Police Commissioner of the City of Param Bir Singh has alleged that Dishmukh asked that police officers were dismissed to collect Rs 100 Crore from restaurant owners and bars in the city illegally every month.
Ed has registered money laundering cases based on FIR CBI against Deshmukh.
In April, Waze tried to submit a letter to a special court when he was produced earlier by Nia in the case of explosive planting in vehicles outside the Mukesh Ambani’s industrialist bungalow and the murder of vehicle owners.
In the letter, Waze accused Parataab allegedly asked for money collection from polluted BMC contractors after threatening them.
