Mumbai: After a few hours of questioning, the CBI arrested the former Minister of State House Anil Deshmukh, Anand Daga Daga on Thursday to bribe CBI Sub-Inspector Abhishek Tiwari in an effort to influence the investigation into ongoing corruption cases.
At the end of Wednesday, the CBI had captured Tiwari, which was thought to supply sensitive and confidential documents to Dagaga to overthrow the agency corruption case against Deshmukh.
The CBI produced two before the CBI court specifically in Delhi on Thursday and looked for seven-day prisoners to be interrogated.
The court provided CBI detainees two days.
Last week, a CBI report intended to give DeShmukh, 71, a clean chit during the initial stage of preliminary investigation (PE) against former alleged corruption ministers circulated in the media.
The CBI refused to comment on the authenticity of the leak report and said they had registered a separate case against Tiwari, Dagaga and others because they tried to influence the probe of the Deshmukh case.
