Maha Caseload in the first 10 days of July more than 79,500

Mumbai: In the last 10 days, Maharashtra and Kerala, both countries are identical to the increasing trend of Covid in the last 16 months, reporting 79,595 cases and 1.28 lakh cases each again appears as a major contributor (53%) to The country every day (53%) covid load.
On the contrary, Delhi, where the second wave saw Daily Caseload soared to 25,000-plus, had seen 817 cases between July 1 and July 10.
Many big cities have two digits tally everyday.
There are no scientific answers why Maharashtra and Kerala continue to post a high number of cases nearly six months into the second wave, but abundant theories.
Public health officials in two countries said the high number was the testimony of their transparent system and accurate reporting.
One theory is that these numbers show “blip” on the second wave.
“These countries report the first case / cluster in this country for both peaks.
High cases can now show another increase in Covid chart,” said a senior doctor from Mumbai who did not want to be identified.
In Maharashtra, the doctor pointed to the case of Kolhapur who wanted to know, where the second wave might only peak with more than 3,000 daily cases for the last two weeks such as under 800 in Mumbai.
“We have begun to refer to this district as ‘kolhapur paradox’,” said Dr Shashank Joshi, a member of the state government assignment unit in Covid-19.
“It has the highest percentage of vaccination of 70% throughout the country, but has the highest daily testing test of more than 10%,” Dr.
Joshi said.
Kolhapur cases, according to officials, are reported among younger people who have not fully vaccinated.
Epidemiology Dr.
Giridhar Babu said both Kerala and Maharashtra had different reasons for their high amounts.
“There is a problem with home isolation in Kerala.
People in isolation spread it to others at home,” he said.
But the fact that Kerala has a low level of hospitalization and low death – 1,254 between July 1 and 10 as against 3,089 in Maharashtra – shows awareness about gaining health in time.
“Kerala also has a better immunization rate,” he said.
Regarding Maharashtra, he said various districts have witnessed the peak at different times.
Actual concern, he said, is that a higher number shows a very circulating virus.
Maharashtra state officials said July cases had so far dropped to the pre-peak level in March.
The average daily peak-time 60,000 cases have been reduced to a tenth, but the plateau has a worried government.
“There are eight districts that continue to be a concern,” said a state official.
