Pune: The number of covid patients in hospital care has fell 41% in Maharashtra to nearly 17,000 in the week ending January 25 compared to 29,000 around January 10, data of the Ministry of Health Public Health has revealed, with several districts, including Mumbai and Thane, Past Past Their third wave.

State data showed that the number of severe Covid cases had also seen a decline in the last week, from 6,181 earlier to 5,825 in the week ended January 25.
Maharashtra Covid’s duty task member, Dr.
Shashank Joshi told TII that the only benchmark to measure the correct subsidence in the current Covid surge was the number of patients in the hospital, Covid mortality rate, which on the ventilator and oxygen support.
Dr.
Joshi said, “At present, patients who are hospitalized are mostly senior citizens, those who suffer from severe immunocompromise disease and patients who have underlying diseases or comorbidities.

In other geographical groups in the state, there may be a highlands and in several others, the increase in Covid cases.

We still have some ICU requests that are coming but expected because severe acceptance is always left behind one or two weeks after the Covid wave.
