Mumbai: Auditorium, Drama Theater and Cultural Programs can be continued in the state of November.
At the meeting with Marathi Theater’s personality on Friday, Minister of UDDHAV Thackeray’s chairman gave a principle approval for the company to open from November 5 with a capacity of 50%.
Detailed SOP will be issued later, the Minister of Culture Affairs Amit Deshmukh.
He said it would not include cinemas and multiplex.
Deshmukh also said because most of these theaters were closed, they would need time to make them be used.
Senior theater and actress film Rohini Hattangadi said, “I was in a dilemma because I was both happy and not so happy on the news.
The reopening of the theater was the welcome announcement, but November 5 was two months away.
What if we watch the third wave Covid in September-October, because health experts have been predicted? If it happens, the move will stop, and all the artists and crew will be disappointed.
“Dishmukh said,” The agreement will be based on the third wave severity.
