Chandrapur: Former Minister of Union Hansraj Ahir has alleged that “negligence” by the Maharashtra Ministry of Energy is responsible for coal shortages in power plants.
Ahir said that unplanned management caused coal shortages as Mahagenco (Maharashtra state power plant company) has not signed a coal purchase agreement with several coal mines from the West Bandal Limited (WCl).
“The Maharashtra Energy Ministry has not signed a coal purchase agreement with WCL on time, which leads to a deficiency of coal in the state.
If the state government has shown an interest in agreeing to the purchase of coal from the Dhopathala mine on WCl in WCl on WCl on WCl.
In the Chandrapur district, the Dhopatala project will not stop for several months, “he said in a statement on Saturday.
AHIR, former BJP MP from Chandrapur, also claimed that the main minister of Madhya Pradesh (Shivraj Singh Chouhan) finally signed an agreement with the Dhoptala coal mine to buy coal at a double price.
“This is a major failure of the Maharashtra government not to buy coal from within the country and point the finger to the central government to cover this failure, which is very unfortunate,” said Ahir.
He alleged that because he did not act the Maharashtra government, two WCl projects in Naglon in the Majri region and the Chincholi coal mine in the Ballarpur area in Chandrapur Regency were waiting.
“Therefore, the state government must take the right action for the purchase of coal from this mine on time so that farmers will be justice.
The coal crisis will be avoided by signing a coal purchase agreement with WCL on time,” he added.
AHIR allegations of the Ministry of Energy in Maharashtra imported expensive coal from outside rather than signing an agreement with coal-producing mines in the state for Mahagenco.
Minister of Power Maharashtra Nitin Raut recently said the state faced a shortage of electricity supply of 3,500 to 4,000 MW and blamed the “management error and lack of planning” in the Central PSU central part of India Ltd.
