Pune: Students who receive acceptance at foreign universities under the Maharashtra government scholarship will be able to get funds for their airplane tickets as soon as they get confirmation.
Students can apply to fund their college.
Government Notification (GR) issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Technical on Wednesday said that students whose family income is less than six lakh per year will be eligible for the Rajharshree Shahu scholarship for foreign education.
Furthermore, these students will now qualify for face air.
Previously, students chosen for this scholarship would travel using their own funds.
It has been clarified that these students reach their universities, they must present their air tickets and go up and then get it replaced.
Government notifications say that there are complaints from the beneficiaries that they cannot manage air fees in advance and many of their trips will be delayed.
The students also said that the procedure for applying after reaching foreign universities was often delayed because they had to report to the university and finish the acceptance formality.
Therefore, there is a request from all students to pay airfare in advance.
Students who receive confirmation from foreign universities can submit airplane tickets to their college.
