Mumbai: More than 770 people continue to undergo treatment for mukormycosis in the state.
The Ministry of Health, in recent updates, stated that 779 people are currently being treated for fungal infections that swept the country during the second wave.
10,325 cases have been recorded by the State since the start of Pandemi.
From the active case of Musormycosis, most of them were in Pune (257), followed by Amravati Regency which had 70 cases, and Mumbai, which still had 64 cases in medicine.
The districts such as Akola, Gondia and Yavatmal also have 37, 30 and 58 cases treated.
Infection, which is known to spread rapidly if not treated on time, has claimed 1,384 lives.
However, 7,967 people have recovered too, even though many have to live with deformity.
A doctor from Kem Parel Hospital, who has many references like that, said that they did not get new cases.
“Most patients need a lot of turns on operations and their maintenance is prolonged.
Therefore, the count of active cases takes time to go down,” he said.
Some analysis of cases of musicycosis have found the existence of three covid infection factors, diabetes and steroid use as general threads.
