Pune: Private hospitals want the government to replace a dose with a long expiration to prevent the waste of anti-covid vaccine shares that will expire them.
Close to 54 lakh doses of anti-covid vaccine almost stopped with a private hospital in Maharashtra.
Most of these shares have expired in the next two-three months.
The hospital authority wants the government to take their stock and use it in the state vaccination program.

GreedViewrivate Hospitals in the state has sounded alarm that most of the 54 doses of covid vaccine vaccines can expire in the next two to three months.
The country wants a guideline from the center to replace private stock with a fresh vaccine.
Experts have suggested steps that cover policy decisions to enable booster doses, reduce the gap between two covisheld doses and more intense to reach a population that is not vaccinated in the state.
Indian Medical Association members have properly argue that it will be a criminal to spend vaccines when many poor citizens do not have access to it.
Enhanced vaccine supplies in government centers have made it easy for people to get free shots.
Jitendra Oswal, Deputy Medical Director of the City-based Bharati Hospital, said, “We want the government to take our stock which has expiration on February 28 and uses it on their vaccination site.
We are ready to take a replacement dose with the same number, it has a long expiration date.
This will prevent the waste of this dose, because vaccination in a private hospital will occur at the speed of the snail.
We cannot use all 3, 500 doses we have on February 28.
“Sanjay Patil, Chair of the Indian Medical Association Hospital in India, said “When citizens in many poor countries do not have access to Covid vaccines, it will be a criminal loss to let its shares in vain.
The center must implement a replacement policy to prevent waste.” State immunization officer Sachin Desai, said, “We can’t make decisions that allow replacing doses at our level.
However, we will notify PE Government regions about such requests.
