Pune: The number of pregnant women who took Covid-19 shots in Maharashtra had doubled after the data update training carried out by the Ministry of Health.
Until early November, 32,537 pregnant women had received a vaccine dose.
This number increased to 68,991 after settlement of data update training.
By opposing 1,026 pregnant women who were fully vaccinated until early November, this figure is now increasing to 3,471.
After saying that, the number of vaccinations was very small, considering that almost 10-20 lakh pregnant women were in the state.
The State Immunization Officer Dr.
Sachin Desai told Tii, “Some of the previous districts did not update their data about the number of pregnant women they had vaccinated.
They were then ordered in online meetings recently to update the earliest numbers.” Desai said according to Personal doctors, vaccine doubts among pregnant women are reduced.
“Cowin, however, does not have a separate pregnant woman category.
Therefore, while the location of the government reported vaccination of pregnant women separately, personal sites were clubbing jab given to this group with those provided to the general population under the category-wise, “He said.
Dr.
Rajshree Patil, medical officer at Kamala Nehru Hospital, said, “There are a large number of pregnant women coming to take Jab.
Our site has been inoculating at least two to three pregnant women every week, which does not occur when Jab for this category is opened several months then.
