MUMBAI: The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) on Thursday chose to raise the spirits ban imposed at Chandrapur district.
Vijay Wadettiwar, protector ministry of Chandrapur district and also rehabilitation and relief ministry talking to the press following the country cabinet meeting stated that the country cabinet has made a decision to lift the spirits ban at Chandrapur district depending on the specialists committee report.
Back in January 2021the nation had put a 13-member high level committee to examine the societal and financial effects of the liquor ban in the district and to consider views of societal organisations and individuals agents on the matter.
The erstwhile Fadnavis authorities had banned consumption and sale of spirits in Chandrapur in April 1, 2015.
