Mumbai: Maharashtra on Thursday reported 3,320 cases of Covid-19 and 61 deaths, which took the calculation of infection to 65,34,557 and the toll became 1,38,725, a health department official said.
With 4,050 patients removed from the hospital in the last 24 hours, the number of recovery rose to 63.53,079.
Maharashtra now has 39,191 active cases.
The state has 2,61,842 people in the housekeeper and 1,461 other in the institutional quarantine, the official said.
The level of recovery of Covid-19 countries is now at 97.22 percent, while the mortality rate is 2.12 percent.
The cumulative number of Coronavirus tests conducted in the country rose to 5,76,46,515 as 1,70,373 samples were examined in the last 24 hours, he said.
A total of eight districts – Dhule, Bhandara, Hingoli, Gondia, Nanded, Akola, Amravati and Chandrapur – did not report any case of new infections.
Similarly, Municipal Jalgaon, Parbhani and Chandrapur (urban areas) also did not record each case in the last 24 hours.
The Ahmednagar district reported the highest number of 577 new infections, followed by Mumbai City in 498.
Satara Regency recorded 13 highest deaths in the state.
Of the eight regions in the state, the Pune region reported 1,159 new cases were followed by 1,050 in the Mumbai region.
Nashik region reported 700 new cases, Kolhapur 251, Latur 104, Aurangabad 27, Nagpur 17 and Akola Region 12 new cases.
According to officials, between 61 new deaths, 28 was reported from the Pune region, followed by 11 of Nashik and nine of the Kolhapur region.
The Mumbai region and the latter took six deaths, followed by one death in the Nagpur area.
However, the Aurangabad region and Akola did not report death from the virus in the last 24 hours.
The city of Mumbai witnessed 498 new Covid-19 cases and five deaths, while Pune City reported 182 cases, but there was no new death.
Of the 39,191 patients active in the state, Pune District had the highest at 9,807, Officidiaid.
Of the 63.53,079 recovery reported in the country so far, the highest – 11.08,460 – comes from the District Pune, he added.
