Mumbai: Maharashtra on Monday reported 4,505 new covid-19 positive cases and 68 fatalities while 7,568 patients recovered, said a health department official.
With new additions, the calculation of Maharashtra infection and the number of deaths each rose to 63,57,833 and 1,34,064.
The total number of recovery in the state reached 61,51,956 and active cases at 68,375.
In particular, Dhule, Parbhani and Chandrapur Municipal Corporations did not report the new Coronavirus case during the day, the official said.
The level of recovery of Maharashtra cases is now at 96.76 percent and the mortality rate is 2.01 percent.
The city of Mumbai saw 218 new cases and three deaths while Pune added 139 new infections but did not report any death.
Among the eight Maharashtra regions, Pune region reported the highest case of 1,624 Covid-19 on Monday, followed by 1,223 cases in the Kolhapur region.
Nashik has reported 708 infections, Mumbai 611 region, Latur 269 region, Aurangabad 33 region, Aurangabad 25 and Nagpur Region 12.
Among 68 fatality Covid-19 reported from eight regions, the highest number of deaths reported from Pune, followed by 16 deaths in the Kolhapur region.
The Mumbai, Nashik and Latur regions reported five fatalities respectively.
The Nagpur area saw one death while the Aurangabad area did not report a new death because of Covid-19, according to the official.
Among 68,375 active patients in Maharashtra, Pune District had 14,149 cases like that, the official said, added the number of patients recovered the highest at 10,64,629 also from Pune District.
With 1.57,175 new tests, the total number of samples examined so far in Maharashtra reached 4,97.25,694, the official said.
A total of 4,21,683 people were in the quarantine of houses in Maharashtra and 2,895 others were in the institutional quarantine, officially more.
