Mumbai: CM Uddhav Thackeray said on Sunday that six districts, including Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg, reported a high number of cases before they even had floods and landslides.
“We must care more about the districts of these districts because their situation is the cause of concern,” he said.
On Sunday, the state reported 5,508 new cases, where more than 75% were reported from these districts, along with Pune and Ahmednagar.
Pune circle just contributed to 2,194 cases.
While the Pune District reported 963 cases, Solapur added 617 and Satara 614.
From Nashik Circle, Ahmednagar added 764 cases.
In comparison, Mumbai Metropolitan region added 864 cases, where Mumbai contributed to the highest, 323, and Raigad 103.
Tally State now stands at 63.53.328.
This is the second time in August that daily detection fell below 5,000.
The state also reported 151 deaths, took the Covid-19 commulative toll Maharashtra to 1,33,996.
Even though the circle Pune contributed to the largest number of cases, the highest death came from Kolhapur.
Of the 151 deaths, 55 came from the circle of kolhapur and 50 of the pune circle.
The Mumbai circle contributed 25 deaths.
Mumbai on Sunday saw nine deaths.
This is the seventh consecutive day, one-digit death registered in the city.
From nine deaths, six cases are comorbidities.
Four patients aged 40-60 years, while five are senior citizens.
Taskforce members Dr.
Rahul Pandit said it was very important to analyze how many deaths among people who were vaccinated.
The overall case of this city has touched 7.37,497 and death has reached 15,951.
Mumbai’s weekly growth rate has dropped to 0.04%.
