Mumbai: CM Uddhav Thackeray on Friday asked the center to hunt 3 additional vaccine crore to the country to make full vaccination in 10 high incident districts on priority.
In a meeting with PM Modi, Thackeray said this district – Pune, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Raigad, Palghar, Ahmednagar and Solapur – had a high level of infection and continued to maintain high covid graphics.
These districts have 2.06 mature crore and 87.9 lakh has been vaccinated so far.
“If the three additional crore doses are given, the country will complete vaccination here,” Thackeray said.
On land, with fresh stocks arrived, 6.1 lakh people were vaccinated on Friday throughout the state.
While 88 Lakh residents were fully vaccinated in the state, 3.5 crore had received the first dose.
In Mumbai, 65,244 people took vaccines.
While the majority (45,236) took the free vaccine provided by BMC, 16,309 others paid in the private sector.
In the city, the 62 lakh vaccine has been disbursed, with 13.7 lakh Mumbikar has taken both vaccines.
The city received 45,000 vaccine doses on Friday.
“We will be able to vaccinate higher numbers on Saturday,” said a senior BMC official.
Health Minister Rajesh Tope said: “Maharashtra consistently becomes a leader in vaccination and has the highest number of residents who are given both doses.” This country wants to reach a 1-crore sign from people who are fully vaccinated in the next few days.
