Maha Min ruled out further restrictions before the celebration

Pune: put aside further restrictions in front of the Festival, Minister of Health of Rajesh Tope on Thursday directing local administration to implement existing rules with strict compliance with the Covid-19 protocol.
Maharashtra Health Minister said all precautions needed to prevent crowding during the festival were in place.
He said all the attention must be done and the Covid protocol must be followed during a festive time.
“We realize how cases have increased after Onam in Kerala.
So, we must ensure that there is no crowding during the future celebration,” he said, almost a week after the center suggested the country to be careful in front of the letter.
The center, in the letter, suggested the state to consider forcing local restrictions at mass events during the festival to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Ahead of the celebration, members of the State Task Force also opposed to take opportunities after Kerala’s experience.
They claim that these cases have receded in the state after the second wave and now the focus must be in double-masking and intensive vaccination.
Tope said the state has registered around 4,000-5,000 cases every day for a month.
“We store watches close to numbers and if there are sudden increases in cases, new strategies must be implemented,” he said.
In eight districts register higher weekly (WPR) levels rather than the country’s average this week, Tope said local administration must oversee the situation in these districts.
He said officials must ensure that no sudden increase in the bag.
“While some districts have registered higher levels of participation than the country’s average, around 17 districts in the state below 100 active cases.
Some districts register only two to three cases every day,” he said.
The current country has around 51,078 active cases.
