MAHA: Omicron Tally 108 with 20 new cases; 54 is used

Mumbai: Omicron Maharashtra Tally crossed 100 on Friday with the addition of 20 new cases.
The state now has 108 confirmed cases of mutating variants; From patients, 54 have been repatriated, said state officials.
The Ministry of Health’s report stated that of the 20 new cases, 11 came from Mumbai, five of Pune Cantonment and one from Pune City.
Two cases came from Satara and one from Ahmednagar.
Tally Omicron Mumbai is the highest in the state in 46, which includes 24 people picked up at international airports during filtering or during the supervision of foreign returns; 27 patients are up.
Of the 11 cases confirmed Friday from Mumbai, five were found at the airport.
These include travelers in the range of 8-73 years from countries, including the United Kingdom, Tanzania, Dubai, Nigeria and Kenya.
None of Mumbai patients had severe symptoms, BMC officials were confirmed.
State reports stated that 15 had international travel history, one traveling into the country and four patients were their high-risk contacts.
“All 20 patients are without symptoms,” said Dr.
Pradeep kicked, the State Supervision Officer.
Except for children, 12 patients were fully vaccinated and seven were not vaccinated.
Dr.
Gautam Bhansali from Bombay Hospital said he had cared for three confirmed cases so far.
“No one has serious symptoms or lung involvement,” he added.
From new cases, 14 were confirmed by the National Institute of Virology (NIV), while six cases were reported by the Institute of Indian Science, Education and Research (Iiser) Pune, the report stated.
