Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh ATS caught one Dheeraj Jagtap aka Dheeraj Deshmukh from Kanpur train station on Friday because of involvement in illegal religious conversion.
Dheeraj Jagtap is a Yavatmal native in Maharashtra and converted to Islam ten years ago.
IG ATS, GK Goswamy said they got a tip-off of Dheeraj.
“Dheeraj was involved in conversion activities after adopting Islam 10 years ago,” IG said.
Ig said three was arrested from Maharashtra because of the conversion of illegal religion – Prasad Kanwre aka Adam, Mausar Alam and Arslan alias Bhupriya Binda – also worked with Dheeraj Jagtap.
“Dheeraj has recraved, rehabilitation, and the WHATSAPP Dawa group where he used to spread religious hatred, encouraging people to adopt Islam by providing various kinds of persuasion,” Goswamy said.
“Dheeraj is also a major member of Co-accused Faraj Shah’s Dawa Federation Islam in the past),” said IG.
ATS Sleuth said Dheeraj was used to allegedly changing people by offering them help.
Dheeraj, along with Prakash Kaware also helped make illegal documents.
The facts of Dheeraj make people repent with the pretext of getting a job also appears.
In June this year, ATS has broken the illegal conversion racket with the arrest of Umar Gautam Gembong, his feet of Mufti Kazi Jahangir Qasmi.
Then the Nagpur syndicate was damaged by the arrest of Rameshwar Kawre alias Adam, Kaushar Alam, and Bhuriya Bando aka Arslan Mustafa.
