Navi Mumbai: Mahendra Kalyankar, Raigad Collector, has disqualified 10 members of the Municipal Board of Municipal Station Mathanan Station, who has defected Sena Shiv to BJP.
Nine selected and one nominated member had joined BJP, after Sena who submitted a request to seek disqualification.
The members were disqualified according to defection regulations, although council members have decided to appeal against orders before the Urban Development Minister.
The last hearing was on October 26, but the order was reserved.
