Mumbai: Maharashtra on Wednesday reports 3,783 new Coronavirus cases and 56 fresh deaths, taking infection calculations to 65,07,930 and the toll becomes 1,38,277, a health department official said.
The number of everyday cases and death witnessed a marginal increase compared to Tuesday, when the country reported 3,530 cases of Covid-19 and 52 deaths.
The official said 4,364 patients were dismissed from the hospital in the last 24 hours, taking a count of cases restored to 63.17070 and leaving Maharashtra with 49,034 active cases.
The state has 2,87,356 people in home quarantine and 1,926 others in institutional quarantine, he said.
The official said the recovery rate of Covid-19 Maharashtra was at 97.07 percent, while the mortality rate was 2.12 percent.
The cumulative number of Coronavirus tests conducted in the country rose to 5.63.61,089 after 1,35,785 samples, the lowest in recent weeks, checked in the last 24 hours, he said.
