Mumbai: A record number 3,509 previously not counted for death was added to the victim of Covid-19 countries on Tuesday, taking the death of the whole pandemic since March last year to 1.3 lakh.
Only four countries – US, India, Brazil and Russia – have a higher victim.
Data reconciliation exercises also added 2,479 cases with the state counting, which on Wednesday increased to 62 lakh.
The country began this year’s reconciliation journey on May 17 and has added 30,874 old deaths since then.
Previous single-day registration for old death on June 14 and June 11.
The Minister of Health of Rajesh Tope said this exercise was an effort not to hide facts.
“Around 3,500 deaths have been reconciled on Tuesday.
This is because private hospitals have not sent a report on time on time and we cannot compile it in real time,” he said.
The state will send notifications to a private hospital to submit covid related data every day to avoid reconciliation needs.
“I will instruct officials to issue strict guidelines in this matter,” Tope said.
The country recorded 8,159 new Covid cases, after two days reported a lower number.
State renewal Covid-19 shows 165 new deaths.
Mumbai, who registered the lowest calculation (348) in five months on Tuesday, registered a slight increase in cases (430) and death (13) on Wednesday.
Active cases in the state and constant city.
BMC officials said that the daily test level in the city had been under 2% for weeks, indicating the second wave had receded.
Dr.
Pradeep kicked, who headed the epidemiological cells of the Ministry of Health, said that cases in Kolhapur declined.
“Kolhapur witnessed a peak much slower than the peak of the second wave in other districts in Maharashtra.
However, the situation is now increasing,” he said.
Kolhapur recorded 21 deaths, the highest in the state, while Sangli registered 19 and rural areas of Satara and Ahmednagar and Pune Municipal region each reported 14 deaths.
