Maha saw 25% decrease in Covid cases on less tests

Mumbai / Pune: Maharashtra registered 33,470 Covid-19 cases on Monday, a drop of almost 25% and reflection of the ‘effect on Sunday’ because fewer tests were carried out during the weekend (the results of diagnostics were collected a day later), Malathhy Iyer reported, Bhavika Jain & Nest Dastane.
The state has reported 44,388 cases the previous day.
The Pune Metropolitan area added 5,172 cases on Monday with more than 6,000 days earlier.

In Mumbai, this case fell for the third day to 13,648 on Monday, down from 19,474 and 20,318 on the previous two days, again at less tests carried out.
The calculation was 30% lower on Monday since the previous day.
In Mumbai, while 71,619 tests were carried out on Friday, the number fell to 68,249 on Saturday and 59,242 on Sunday.
In Maharashtra, the daily number of tests fell from 2.02 lakh on Saturday to 1.73 lakh on Sunday.
“The decline in cases is clearly caused by fewer tests carried out,” said Dr.

The cumulative number of the state was closer to 70 lakh (69.53.514), while Mumbai touched 9.26,170.

Civil officials said that 21% of Covid beds were occupied.
On Monday, 31 new cases of Omicron were reported from the state, taking a count of confirmed cases because the variant was 1,247.
The Minister of Health of the Mansukh Mandiviya has a review of five countries, including Maharashtra, who reported the highest cases.
The state told the center that despite a large number of cases, health infrastructure was not under pressure.
“Of the total patients in the state, only 3% need an ICU bed or oxygen supply.
The state has adequate infrastructure and low occupancy today,” said Minister of Health Rajesh Tope.
There are nearly 38,000 ICU beds in the state, and on Monday, only 1,711 are occupied.
Likewise, from the oxygen bed 1.34 lakh, only 5,400 occupied.
