Mumbai: Maharashtra reported 6,258 new Coronavirus cases and 254 deaths on Tuesday, increasing the calculation of the overall infection to 62,76,057 and the death toll became 1.31,859, the state health department said.
Both the characters everyday rose compared to Monday when 4,877 new cases and 53 deaths had been recorded.
With 12,645 patients dismissed from the hospital during the day, the recovery count rose to 60,58,751, leaving the country with 82,082 active cases.
At present 4,98,933 people are in home quarantine and 3,456 in institutional quarantine.
The level of recovery of the country’s case was at 96.54 percent while the mortality rate was 2.01 percent.
The number of Coronavirus tests conducted in this country rose to 4,71,76,715 with 1,81,593 samples tested since Monday night.
The Mumbai region reported 1,023 new Covid-19 cases and 39 deaths, including 344 cases and five deaths in the city of Mumbai.
The Pune region reported 2,356 new cases and 44 new deaths including 222 new cases and two deaths in the city of Pune.
The Kolhapur region recorded 1,578 new Covid-19 cases, followed by the Nashik region in 808 cases, a meal area with 342 cases, Aurangabad region with 97 cases, Nagpur region with 24 cases, and the Akola region with 24 cases.
The Kolhapur region witnessed 89 new deaths, followed by the Nashik region with 28 deaths, Nagpur regions with 25 deaths, Aurangabad regions with 16, a stable area with three fatalities.
Significantly, the Hingoli District together with the Parbhani Corporation Area Municipal did not report a new Coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours.
