Mumbai: For the fourth day in a row, the country registered more than 1,000 cases of Covid-19 on Monday.
State Covid updates on Monday showed that 751 cases and 15 deaths registered in Maharashtra.
However, a low tally could also be the result of fewer tests conducted for Diwali, state officials said.
Only 61 720 tests performed in the state as against 1.2 lakh to 1.5 lakh usual.
State health officials say people did not show up for the test because of the festival.
“For the case of duplicates found during diwali (between 4 and 7 November), the calculation of the country has decreased by 58, ” said state surveillance officer Pradeep DR kick.
