Mumbai: More than 44,000 school buses crossed Maharashtra finally got two years of tax assistance.
The government issued a notification on Tuesday that all school buses – whether they have by schools or private contractors – will get 100% assistance in road taxes for the period between April 1, 2020 and March 31, 2022.
City bus operators say that from the bus can restart Operation from Monday.
The city has around 8,000 school buses.
The president’s association of the Anil Garg school bus owner said that part of the bus operator had paid taxes that would be “adjusted” with future tax payments in 2022-23.
Malik Patel of Mumbai Bus Malak Sanghatana said that many buses can continue to die the road because they need to get a fitness certificate from RTO.
