Mumbai: Maharashtra on Wednesday reported 1,201 new Coronavirus cases, a sharp increase of 376 from a day ago, and eight new deaths, the state health department said.
In this addition, Kaseload Covid-19 countries increased to 66.52.166, while the death toll rose to 1.41,375, the department said in a bulletin.
It is said that the country does not report a new case of the Omicron variant of SARS-COV-2, a virus that causes Covid-19.
On Tuesday, 11 cases of new Omicron were reported in the state, taking the calculation variant to 65.
One day ago, the country had reported 825 deaths of Coronavirus and 14 new.
There were 7,350 cases of Covid-19 active in Maharashtra now after 953 patients were dismissed from the hospital after recovery in the last 24 hours.
The number of patients restored reached 64.99,760 in the state, where the fatality rate of the case was 2.12 percent.
A total of 1,23,261 new tests were carried out, taking the number of samples checked for the Coronavirus as far as 6,80,06,322, said Bulletin.
At present, 75,273 people are in the quarantine of houses and 860 people in institutional quarantine, he said.
Mumbai reported 490 new Coronavirus cases, leap more than 160 from a day ago, and zero fatalitas, said Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Eight districts and six city corporations did not report the new Covid-19 case.
Among the eight administrative areas of Maharashtra (each consisting of the district set), the Mumbai region reported 687 new cases, followed by 306 in Pune and 135 in the Nashik region.
Aurangabad region, kolhapur, latiment, Nagpur and Akola reported 14, 25, 22, seven and five new cases.
The Pune region reported three deaths, followed by two in the Nashik area.
Mumbai, Aurangabad and Nagpur did not report new deaths.
Akola, Kolhapur and the Latur area also did not record new deaths related to Coronavirus.
