BEED: A 21-year-old girl supposedly committed suicide because of harassment from in-laws, after that, the latter guaranteed a bogus Covid-19 optimistic to prevent autopsy at Beed district of Maharashtra, authorities said on Friday.
A case was filed against four members of their household, two people who were detained, an official said.
Puja Ganesh Raikar, resident of Dhangar Javalka village of Patoda tehsil, supposedly swallowed sanitiser on May 19 because of pity by her husband and his household within dowry, ” the officer stated.
The victim was admitted to a private hospital at Ahmednagar and was taken into a hospital in Pune, in which she died on Wednesday (May 26), he explained.
The sufferer’s in-laws understood an autopsy would show that she’d swallowed a poisonous compound and therefore, made a decision to secure a bogus Covid-19 favorable report to cover up the reason behind death, ” the officer said.
After the sufferer’s family refused to think she had died as a result of Covid-19, a second evaluation was completed, the consequence of which came out bad, ” he explained.
A case was filed contrary to the victim’s husband Ganesh Raikar, father-in-Law Shivaji, mother-in-Law Vijubai and Namdev Sukde, also a comparative, that helped capture the bogus report, ” the officer stated.
While two of those accused have been detained and 2 have been absconding, he further added.
