Bengaluru: Covid cases can be reduced, but some parts of Bengaluru register more cases than others, a fact that is reflected in the spread of micro detention zones in all capital cities.
While there are 48 micro-active detention zones in Bengaluru, 20 of which are in the Mahadevapura zone.
The micro detention zone is part of the Covid-19 strategy of Bengaluru Mahangara Palike (BBMP) when cases begin to recede after peaking in the second wave.
Before that, the Civic body only identified apartments / streets as a detention zone if the cluster case was reported.
Bengaluru has 587 microcontent zones during the second wave, but 538 of them has been disabled.
Mahadevapura, who has around 119 micro detention zones, now only has 20.
Bommanahalli once has 115 zones like that, but now has five.
In the micro detention zone, health officials have been told to test citizens from at least both sides of the house where one case has been reported, other than the opposite and behind it.
