Pune: Mahametro has begun releasing the filling of his site at the Mutha Riverbed.
The Bombay High Court on Friday last week directing Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and the state government to eliminate debris from the Metro work site on the basis of the river-mutha.
Removal of debris has been accelerated near the Sangam Bridge website, where Maharahstra Metro Rail Corporation (Mahametro) has built a bridge across the river, and also in the basis stretch between Deccan Gymkhana and Garden Sambhaji.
Viaduct work is also active on the second site.
A senior Mahametro official said the debris would be cleaned from the site in the next 10 days.
HC’s direction to PMC and the state government came after litigation of public interest (pill) was submitted by Nest Activists Yadwadkar, Arnavaz Aga and the meaning of Kirloskar about dumping debris on the river.
Mahametro officials said the machine needed, the drive of the earth and truck had been pressed into the service to lift the supervision of the site.
