NAGPUR: A total of 230 resident physicians of some government medical school at Nagpur in Maharashtra on Tuesday went to an indefinite mass depart demanding they are alleviated from COVID-19 responsibilities at a time once the range of instances is falling so they can concentrate on post-graduation.
The protest hasn’t influenced the crisis and ICU services in the Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (IGGMCH).
Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (MARD) president in IGGMCH Dr Rajat Agrawal advised that 230 resident physicians chose to move on indefinite mass render because the problems raised by them previously remained stern.
“The resident physicians of the Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital are working selflessly to take care of patients throughout the COVID pandemic waves to the past 15 months,” he explained.
Dr Agrawal stated the resident physicians ought to be permitted to focus on post-graduate research given that the pandemic situation from the Nagpur district is under control today.
In addition, he wanted”complete compilation of this surgical complicated for non-COVID work according to the assurance provided by the district collector”.
Dr Agrawal asserted the resident physicians had written memorandums of requirements into the IGGMCH dean before but failed to get any reply either by the hospital management or the district government.
“Under this scenario once the professors of resident physicians has been utterly disregarded from the concerned management, the IGGMCH resident physicians are left without a option but to take our services out of our responsibilities and also proceed to indefinite mass depart from now,” Dr Agrawal stated.
