Maharashtra: 4-year-old girl injured in a wild dog attack died in the hospital

Nagpur: A 4-year-old girl, who was attacked by a flock of wild dogs last week, died in a hospital in the Nagpur Maharashtra district, an official said on Friday.
The victim, Anjali was hospitalized, surrendered to his wounds in college and government hospitals (GMCH) on Thursday, he said.
The girl was attacked by a pack of wild dogs in Bharkas Village near Butibori in the Nagpur district on January 13.
The incident occurred when the girl’s parents left and she was saved by a woman in the neighborhood and was taken to the primary health center in the city of Takalghat.
The child suffered a serious injury to his stomach, his back and legs and referred to GMC, where he died during treatment, the official said.
The villagers previously asked several complaints with local Panchayat grams about the threat of wild dogs.
After death, the police have registered cases of unintentional deaths and investigations have begun, he added.
